Program Overview

Eating Recovery Center (ERC) specializes in Residential, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient treatment for adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders. Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center specializes in Residential, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient treatment for adolescents and adults struggling with mood and anxiety disorders.

Our training program is most appropriate for students at an advanced level of training who have previously completed a therapy practicum or have significant work or life experience relevant to the development of clinical skills.

Practicum students and master’s-level interns apply for and are accepted into one area of specialty training.  ERC and Pathlight require 20 hours per week of on-site training for twelve months. (**Please note that practicum positions and masters-level internships are virtual for the duration of the pandemic, with the option of being onsite if preferred and if feasible**).  Responsibilities include providing individual and group therapy at an IOP and/or PHP level of care, milieu and meal support, conducting ongoing clinical assessments for insurance authorization, case management duties and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. All trainees participate in individual and group supervision, didactic and specialty seminars, staff meetings and case conferences.  Fridays are a required on-site day as group supervision and didactic seminars occur on Fridays.  Trainees also typically work on Saturdays for at least 6 months of the training year.  The training year starts on or about July 1 (depending on when the 4th of July holiday lands) and ends on June 30th each year.
