The need for innovation in psychiatric care has become evident. Although pharmacologic interventions have demonstrated efficacy, many patients continue to struggle with intractable mental illness. This presentation will review treatment interventions that target neuromodulation, such as ketamine treatment, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and discuss evidence supporting the efficacy of these interventions.
