Overview

A presentation on supporting patients and caregivers utilizing Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT)-informed approach. The key aspects of this modality will be discussed, specifically Emotion Coaching and Emotional Blocks for caregivers and for clinicians. The speakers will discuss their experiences integrating EFFT into their work with caregivers with loved ones suffering from mental illnesses including anxiety and depression. The presentation will also review ways in which these illnesses look different in children and adolescents, and how to determine the best treatment approach for meeting patient and family needs.
