Lydia shares her story to connect with others in an authentic way. Throughout her life in active recovery, she has rediscovered her love of education and advocacy work. She believes that her eating disorder, and her mother's eating disorder, served as a compass leading her towards living a more authentic, purposeful life. Lydia plans to continue her education with the intent of being an advocate for eating disorder treatment accessibility for individuals from varying racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Lydia's speaking topics include: Recovery from Anorexia Nervosa, family dynamics, genetic component of eating disorders, body image in emerging adults, season of life changes, and advocacy for accessibility to eating disorder treatment.
