Dena is an aspiring author who strongly values empathy, service and kindness. She is originally from Southern California, but feels equally at home in Chicago, where most of her eating disorder treatment took place.
She is an Eating Recovery Center alumni and shares her personal journey online in hopes of raising awareness and lessening isolation for individuals living with chronic physical and mental illnesses. Her work has been featured in Women's Health Magazine, Self Magazine, Healthline, HelloGiggles and HerCampus.com. The things that make her most happy are painting, writing and dogs.
