A presentation focused how to move through the stressors of the holidays using Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) skills. The skills of Emotion Coaching will be discussed, as well as what can get in the way of effectively connecting with and supporting loved ones during this stressful time of the year.
The target audience for this continuing education program is mental health providers and clinicians working with individuals with mental health diagnoses. Materials are appropriate for learners with an introductory level of understanding about mental health concerns.

- Identify common stressors during the holiday season
- Describe Emotion Coaching skill to support communication between family members
- Define ‘emotional blocks’, including ways to identify and work with them when they arise
