Jane Zeltser
(she/her/hers)
Born in Kiev, Ukraine, Jane Zeltser emigrated to the United States in 1989 as a political refugee with her family and found assimilating challenging due to cultural food differences and acculturation. Jane struggled with eating disorders from age five until her early 20’s and after she went into recovery, she became a passionate advocate for the cause.
Currently, she is an ambitious Ambassador for Project HEAL, NAMI Metro Baltimore and Eating Disorders Coalition, an eating disorder recovery coach trainee at the esteemed Carolyn Costin Institute and a peer recovery mentor for Rock Recovery. Jane also leads a group of peer recovery mentors for ANAD (National Association for Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders) and volunteers for their helpline. She wants to use her lived experience to work with local and marginalized eating disorder communities. As a proud Say It Brave Collective member, Jane continues to share her story in hopes of educating her social media followers and reminding them that recovery is possible.
