In early 2014, ERC and Pathlight filled a treatment gap in Illinois by opening the first Downtown Chicago residential 24-hour center to treat adults with mood, anxiety and trauma-related disorders.
With 30 beds available in our Residential program, we are located in the heart of the city. Our renowned treatment team is very involved from the moment of treatment until time of discharge, and beyond.
Our treatment program provides a comfortable and inclusive residential treatment environment for mood and anxiety patients, integrating evidence-based strategies to guide our patients on a path toward long-lasting mental wellness.

Accredited by the Joint Commission, ERC Illinois and Insight Behavioral Health Centers operate numerous treatment centers in the Chicago area including downtown Chicago, Northbrook, Evanston, Oak Park and Oak Brook.
They are also a teaching affiliate of Northwestern University Medical School and Rush University Medical School. Additionally, ERC, Illinois and the University of Chicago’s Eating Disorder Program, led by Daniel LeGrange, have teamed up to study new options for adolescent patients with anorexia nervosa who do not respond to current treatment protocols.
