Residential
The Residential mood, anxiety and trauma-related treatment program offers medically stable patients a highly-structured and supportive 24-hour treatment environment.

Partial Hospitalization
Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers some of the same intensity and structure of Residential mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorder treatment while providing additional opportunities to practice recovery outside of the controlled treatment environment during evenings at home or in peer-supported apartment communities.

On-site Intensive Outpatient
Our Intensive Outpatient program is a flexible mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorder treatment program that allows patients to work, go to school, or care for children during the day and sleep at home at night.

Virtual Intensive Outpatient - Pathlight At Home
Pathlight is removing the barriers that can keep patients with mood and anxiety disorders from receiving treatment. Through telebehavioral health programming, Pathlight At Home (our virtual Intensive Outpatient Program) offers the same proven care as our in-person treatment centers.
We’ll meet you where you are
Wherever you are today, Pathlight Seattle -- Boren Ave. can provide the exact support you need. Our programs offer you or your loved one evidence-based treatment for anxiety, depression and other mood disorders. We also offer specialized care for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and substance use disorder (SUD) as a secondary diagnosis.
Partial hospitalization program
Participants in our PHP will:
- Participate in programming five or seven days a week. Programming typically lasts from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. 5 days a week or 7 days a week. Our 5-day program allows you to practice skills at home or off-site on nights and weekends. Our 7-day program offers more intensive support with the opportunity to practice skills at night.
- Meet with therapists three times a week. This includes two individual sessions and one session with family members.
- Engage in group therapy. Our groups incorporate aspects of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Each group teaches unique skills, including:
- Healthy boundaries skills
- Self-compassion skills
- Skills for managing shame and perfectionism
- Food and mood connection skills, led by a registered dietitian
- Life skills
- Process groups
- Express yourself fully. Group therapy within our 7-day PHP includes LGBTQ+ and BIPOC groups, providing safe spaces for individuals to explore their identity authentically. Individuals attending our 5-day PHP who identify with LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities are encouraged to seek connection and support outside of program hours and on weekends.
- Access additional experiences. We incorporate mindfulness and art therapies into our program. We also offer access to an on-site gymnasium for adult patients to safely practice movement without needing to leave the center.
Intensive outpatient program
Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides the maximum level of flexibility to fit your busy schedule. Treatment typically takes place three days per week for three to four hours per day.
Need help with an eating disorder?
While we offer eating disorder treatment as a secondary diagnosis at Pathlight Seattle – Boren Ave., individuals who need more intensive care for disordered eating can access it easily. Eating Recovery Center in Bellevue, just across Lake Washington, offers nationally recognized eating disorder care close to home.

Those traveling from out of town for our 7-day PHP – or family members who want to stay close to their loved one during the course of care – can access low-cost lodging near our center. We can also provide transportation assistance to and from treatment for individuals who qualify. Temporary housing is not available for patients in our 5-day PHP program or our IOP programs.

Stay up to date with school
Keeping up with schoolwork is an understandable concern when a child is in treatment. We do everything we can to help young patients stay on top of schoolwork in treatment, including providing:
- Designated time for schoolwork in PHP
- A full-time education specialist on site
- Regular communication with schools
- Help with individualized education program (IEP) and 504 plans

Our center is located on the 18th floor of the Cabrini Medical Tower, providing a comfortable space with convenient access from multiple points in and around the city. We are connected via skyway to Swedish Hospital -- First Hill Campus. Enjoy the views of the cityscape and a glimpse of Puget Sound.
Our center is in close proximity to the Space Needle, Lake Washington and Lake Union. Do you offer ketamine therapy or TMS at Pathlight Seattle – Boren?
Yes. Our treatment options in our PHP include the latest FDA-approved innovations when recommended and appropriate. Ketamine therapy is approved for use in people with treatment-resistant depression. Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is primarily used to treat depression and OCD. The exact treatment you receive in PHP will be determined based on a clinical assessment with psychiatry.

Will I have my phone taken away from me during treatment?
Adults may access electronics while in treatment at Pathlight Seattle – Boren Ave. However, all electronic devices must be put away during individual and group therapy.
